Sometimes a bat mitzvah portrait is not so obvious to a casual observer. This one, of a bat mitzvah girl and her grandfather wrapped up in one tallis together is one of the less obvious. They are sharing one tallis in the photo to symbolize a special connection they have in addition to being grandfather and grand daughter. At his bar mitzvah he read the exact torah portion as his grand daughter.
